Raymond was called to rest and be with our Lord on September 24 after a long
life of helping others. Born to Bernard and Agnes (Tully) in Kearny, New Jersey, Ray served in the US
Navy proudly and with great honor in World War II both aboard the USS Mobile,
CL-63 and the USS Mississinewa, AO59, earning 8 Battle Stars. While in California, during his "survivors leave" after the sinking of the USS
Mississinewa, he met the love of his life, Olga Rastean who would become his
loving wife for the next 63 years. Ray was a Journeyman and a life member of the Local Union 250 - United
Association of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry for over 50 years, working
in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry. His free time was filled
with saltwater fishing. Raymond remained in California until moving to Arizona in 1995.
A loving husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather, Ray is survived by his
wife, Olga, brother Bernard Fulleman, children, Donna (Robert) Sioles, Ronald
(Lorraine) Fulleman, and Robert (Teresa) Fulleman, and grandchildren: Gregory,
Suzanne, Kevin, Ryan and Alexandra. Raymond will be missed by his family and friends for his continued kindness,
generosity and love of animals.
Strong in body and heart...a loving family man, Raymond will be remembered as an
easy going man, always ready to help others. His door was always open.
A Rosary was held in Mesa, Arizona on September 28th at the Queen of Heaven
Mortuary. A funeral mass was held on October 2nd at the San Fernando Mission Church in San
Fernando, California. Raymond was laid to rest at the San Fernando Valley
Mission Cemetery.
